Introduction

A qualified Law Society accredited mediator, High Performance Coach & Business Master NLP Practitioner, Shân is well equipped to understand and mediate the prevention and resolution of disputes at all levels within organizations.
Shân brings a wealth of experience to The Legal Partners, where she has set up the mediation service, helping employers to resolve employee disputes and avoid the cost and disruption of an Employment Tribunal.
Shân also advises on settlement agreements; helping senior executives to get the best deal when negotiating settlement agreements with their employer.
Her former years as an Army officer, as a legal translator at Linklaters in Paris and London, as an executive coach in international law firms and investment banks, helping lawyers and managing directors become effective leaders in their field, have added practical weight to her academic experience and informed her conflict resolution skills at the most senior level.

She enjoys working internationally, speaks fluent French, basic Malay and has lived and worked in Europe , Middle East and South East Asia.

Settlement Agreements: use them when employees are leaving to minimise employer liability

Settlement Agreements are legally binding contracts ending an employment contract and settling employee claims. They should also reduce the risk of an expensive and time-consuming Employment Tribunal claim. Always get the employee to sign a settlement agreement so the employee waives (gives up) any employment claims against the employer.
