Introducing Dominic O’Byrne

Dominic runs and writes all The Legal Partners social media communications, including the latest updates twitter feed, liaising closely with all members of the team. He also runs The Legal Partners UK Asia Desk, covering our own own export stories and, alongside China Partner Iris Cai, supporting exporter clients, liaising with UK government initiatives such as The Department for International Trade's Investor Support directory team, The UK ASEAN Business  Council, The Confucius Insititute and organisations who have a  similar aim of growing UK Asia trade, with a particular focus on China.

After finishing school in Britain, and prior to entering the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and a career in theatre, a gap year taken in the early ‘80s has so far lasted 30 years... and counting. Beginning a career in independent local radio and later as a copywriter for McCann-Erickson Dominic garnered creative awards in New York, London, Paris and South Africa.

Founding his own PR consultancy in the late ‘90s he worked on strategic communications campaigns for global brands, gained key experience with individuals as diverse as CEOs, PGA Tour players, design engineers and manufacturers in Asia and aerospace professionals (military & civil).

As an independent marketing consultant he has latterly worked across TTL and social media campaigns in e-learning, healthcare (NHS), conservation (WA Shark Cull) as well as radio writing & production for independent local radio stations in Ireland.

When not working his time is occupied with golf, photography, teaching/playing guitar, cooking and fostering teenagers from Hong Kong and PRC during secondary education in the UK.
