We have an exciting local opportunity for a commercially minded Legal Assistant to join our dynamic, close knit team of commercial lawyers based in Teddington.
We specialise in Employment and HR Law, Business law, Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution, advising businesses of all sizes, across multiple sectors, from local owner managed firms to SMEs, charities, as well as national and international employers.

Legal Assistant opportunity Richmond Start Date: March/April 2025
Salary and package: commensurate with experience.
The role would suit a graduate who has passed SQE1 and is looking to study SQE 2 and a clear path to qualification. A genuine interest in business, enthusiasm for working with business leaders and HR managers and a can do attitude are important.
You will need to be excited by the prospect of a highly varied legal day, with lots of direct client contact, working closely with high quality, interesting commercial clients.

With solid support behind you, you will enjoy building your client handling skills, advising clients and proposing solutions to commercial issues and using your excellent legal drafting and analysis skills.
You will have excellent IT skills, be familiar with email, MS Word, Excel and Adobe pdf creation systems or able to get quickly up to speed.
You will also value working locally, in a collaborative home working environment, and enjoy the opportunity to foster strong trusted advisor relationships with clients.

You will be hands-on from day one, with early client contact and case management responsibility.
You will benefit from comprehensive one-to-one training, supervision and feedback. You will work alongside Partners and legal colleagues who know how to train and fully equip you for success as a Business and Employment lawyer.
You will be working in an efficient team using the latest IT, and Thompson Reuters Technology.
You will have a clear pathway to qualification, with daily opportunity to practice and hone the skills and knowledge you will need to pass SQE2. With the flexibility, including exam leave, to give you the best chance of success in your exams.
Once qualified, you will continue to build on your experience as you grow with the firm. You will be part of a highly respected team of trusted advisors, with a long established network of Accountants and referrers in the local area and beyond.
